Electroless nickel plating for critical flow equipment
Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP) Services
High-phosphorus ENP for GCC fabricators and MRO contractors. Get uniform coverage across complex shapes, threads and deep blind bores—without electrical current, auxiliary anodes or thin spots in hard-to-reach areas.
With phosphorus content above 10.5%, the dense nickel-phosphorus deposit helps protect critical parts against sour-service corrosion and wear. Heat-treated deposits can reach approximately HRC 68, supporting longer service life for Middle East oil and gas equipment.
For oil and gas ball valves, mud-pump piston rods, manifolds and other critical components.

Coverage where conventional plating can fall short
The autocatalytic reaction deposits metal at a consistent rate across wetted surfaces. That means complex shapes, intersecting cross-holes, threads and deep blind bores can receive a uniform coating, including at the bottom of cavities up to 300 mm deep.
Parts requiring full internal coverage can receive the same plating specification on internal and external surfaces, without secondary masking or auxiliary anodes. This is especially valuable for sour-service ball-valve trims and mud-pump piston rods, where hard-to-reach surfaces matter to component life.
Discuss a complex part01 / Corrosion barrier
High-phosphorus protection
A dense deposit helps resist chloride attack and hydrogen sulphide. It also offers strong protection against H₂S/CO₂ sour-service corrosion in demanding oil and gas environments.
02 / Wear resistance
Hardness for sliding surfaces
After a 400 °C heat treatment, deposit hardness rises to approximately HRC 68, improving abrasion resistance on surfaces such as valve balls and pump rods.
03 / Sour-service evidence
Test data for demanding service conditions
Coated 17-4PH and 316L samples exposed to NACE TM0177 Solution A at 150 °C and 10 bar H₂S partial pressure showed no pitting or cracking after 720 hours. Uncoated equivalents failed within 120 hours. Operators in the Eastern Province and Abu Dhabi have recorded a three- to five-fold increase in mean time between failures on coated gate-valve stems and choke beans compared with uncoated equivalents.

Common questions
ENP service details
Can ENP coat deep blind bores and intersecting passages?
Yes. The autocatalytic process deposits on wetted internal surfaces, including deep blind bores up to 300 mm, helping avoid thin spots that can occur with methods that rely on electrical current.
What hardness can the high-phosphorus deposit achieve?
After a 400 °C heat treatment, the deposit hardness rises to approximately HRC 68. The batch report records phosphorus content and hardness in as-plated and post-bake conditions.
