Precision manufacturing for the GCC
Swiss Screw Machining for Precision Components
High-agility Swiss screw machining for slender, miniature and high-precision turned parts across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the wider GCC.
At PartsMake, we produce miniature shafts, pins, instrument parts and valve components in repeatable batches, with diameters from 1–38 mm and standard dimensional tolerances down to ±0.003 mm.

Built for difficult-to-hold parts
Close-to-cutting-point support helps control deflection on long, slender and miniature components.
How it works
Stable cutting for slender precision parts
Swiss-type lathes support slender workpieces close to the cutting point, reducing deflection during machining. This makes the method suitable for high length-to-diameter ratios, small diameters, fine features and closely controlled turned surfaces.
Discuss your part with our teamClose support at the cut
The guided workpiece arrangement helps limit deflection on small and slender parts that can be difficult to support with conventional turning.
Coordinated operations
Our 7- to 9-axis machines can perform multiple operations in a coordinated setup, reducing handling between machining stages.
High-pressure oil cooling
High-pressure oil delivery helps manage heat and clear chips from the cutting zone, supporting stable conditions and fine finishes.
Repeatable batch control
The process is suited to high-mix or repeat production of miniature precision parts where dimensional consistency affects assembly and performance.

Application focus
Small parts that influence the whole assembly
Smart water metering
Small shafts and precision turned features for water-measurement equipment and metering assemblies.
Optical sensing
Micro pins, optical payload pins and compact instrument components with controlled profiles.
Automation and robotics
Miniature transmission shafts and related turned parts for compact robotic mechanisms.
Fluid control and instruments
Hydraulic needle valves, miniature fluid-control parts and fine-finish instrument components.
Materials and control
Material choice backed by inspection planning
Material selection affects tool wear, chip formation, achievable finish and dimensional stability. We machine materials suited to small precision parts and align inspection requirements with your procurement specification.
SS316L
Corrosion-resistant components for instruments and fluid handling.
C11000 copper
Conductive or thermal application components.
Phosphor bronze
Parts requiring suitable wear and spring characteristics.
PEEK
Engineering polymer components where a non-metallic material is required.
Documentation options
- ✓EN 10204 3.1 documentation for applicable supplied metals.
- ✓Heat-lot traceability where material certification is required.
- ✓PMI by XRF or OES for material verification.
- ✓Dimensional reports and CMM data books where applicable.
State your inspection, PMI, CMM and documentation requirements in the RFQ so we can align the inspection plan before production.
Regional supply support
A practical route for GCC procurement teams
For regional MRO contractors, system integrators and technical distributors, a small precision component can delay a larger repair or equipment build when suitable capacity is not available locally. Swiss machining provides a repeatable option for miniature parts that may be difficult to source quickly as OEM spares.
Water utilities
Small shafts and precision turned features for smart-meter suppliers and water-measurement assemblies.
Sensors and instrumentation
Pins and compact components with fine dimensional requirements for optical and instrument applications.
Automation and robotics
Miniature transmission shafts and turned parts for compact mechanisms and system integration.
We supply industrial customers across the GCC, including project and manufacturing locations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Jubail, Riyadh and Doha. DDP delivery and customs support may be arranged according to destination, order details and applicable compliance requirements.
Manufacturing route
Is Swiss screw machining right for your project?
Swiss machining is often a good fit when your part is:
- 01Small in diameter or designed with a high length-to-diameter ratio.
- 02Required in repeat batches with consistent dimensions.
- 03Difficult to support reliably during conventional turning.
- 04Designed with multiple turned features or fine surface-finish requirements.
- 05Made from a material that benefits from close control of heat and chip evacuation.
When another process may be better
Another process may be more suitable for large-diameter components, broad flat surfaces or parts outside the Ø1–38 mm envelope. For larger turned parts, our heavy-duty CNC turning capacity supports workpieces up to Ø850 mm × 2,200 mm.
We can review the drawing and recommend a suitable manufacturing route if your part includes features beyond Swiss machining.
