Choose the right alloy for the service conditions
Gulf operations can expose components to high salinity, chloride-rich water and chemically aggressive conditions. Select a grade to review its role in your specification.
316L: reliable corrosion resistance with weldability in mind
A practical choice for moderate-to-high corrosion resistance in subsea and offshore infrastructure. Our machining process maintains the low-carbon integrity of the material to support weldability and structural stability.
Common fit: marine hardware, fasteners and seawater-service components.
904L: added alloying for more demanding exposure
When 316L reaches its limits, 904L offers significantly higher molybdenum and copper content for resistance in harsh chloride exposure and sulfuric acid service. Specialist tooling geometries help manage its work-hardening characteristics while producing precise valve components and high-pressure fluid fittings.
Common fit: demanding fluid systems, valve components and high-corrosion bolt assemblies.
Surface integrity
Passivation and testing for coastal durability
Machining can leave microscopic free-iron particles and surface stress that may become corrosion initiation points. Our post-machining process is designed to address those risks before dispatch.
Deep chemical passivation
Every 316L and 904L part undergoes deep chemical passivation to remove free iron from the surface and strengthen the protective chromium oxide layer.
Validation
ASTM B117 salt spray testing
We validate our process through continuous ASTM B117 salt spray testing, with a guarantee of more than 1,000 hours of exposure without rust, pitting or surface degradation.
