Quality records · Material to delivery

Traceability & Standards

Every component supplied by PartsMake is connected to a clear, reviewable record—from the incoming material heat number and shop-floor routing card to inspection, vacuum packaging and dispatch. The result is a practical evidence trail for engineering review, operator audits and GCC customs documentation.

Documentation is organised around the part or batch identifier, so material certificates, inspection results and delivery records can be traced together. Report content and acceptance criteria are aligned with the approved drawing, purchase order and project specification.

Stage 01

Receive

Verify material identity, condition and heat-lot documentation.

Stage 02

Identify

Link the job, part or batch reference to its production route.

Stage 03

Inspect

Record dimensional, material and special-process checks.

Stage 04

Preserve

Match finished parts to their protection and packing records.

Stage 05

Dispatch

Connect the released record pack to the shipment reference.

A connected production record

One traceable journey for each part or batch

A process traveller keeps the critical identifiers and completion evidence together as work moves through the shop. Marking methods and record depth are selected to suit the component, material and customer requirements.

01

Raw material receipt and heat-lot control

Incoming material is matched to its purchase and job requirements. The material grade, supplier documentation and heat or lot reference are checked and linked to the relevant production record before processing.

  • Record link: material heat / lot to job and component reference
  • Evidence: EN 10204 3.1 certificate and incoming verification, as specified
  • Control: maintain identity through cutting, nesting or stock preparation
02

Route card and in-process identification

A job traveller follows the work through machining, fabrication, finishing and inspection. Part or batch marking is applied at the agreed stage and in a suitable location, while protecting critical surfaces and customer marking requirements.

  • Route entries: operation, status, inspection point and completion record
  • Identification: job, batch, serial or drawing reference as applicable
  • Exceptions: non-conformance and approved disposition remain linked to the record
03

Inspection and special-process evidence

Final and in-process results are recorded against the relevant drawing characteristics and specification. Where required, the quality pack includes CMM dimensional data, material identification, NDT, pressure-test evidence and coating inspection reports.

  • Dimensional: measured characteristics, results and inspection reference
  • Material: PMI or other specified verification, linked to the heat lot
  • Coating: dry film thickness readings and acceptance basis, where applicable
04

Vacuum packing and shipment release

After release, parts are protected for the agreed storage and transport conditions. The packing record identifies the contents and links the final inspection status and document pack to the packing list and shipment reference.

  • Preservation: vacuum packaging and corrosion protection as specified
  • Pack contents: part or batch identifiers matched to the packing list
  • Release: quality documents assembled with the delivery record

Standardised quality pack

Clear reports, ready for technical review

The examples below show typical report structures and data fields. Actual results, test duration, sampling plan and pass criteria are recorded against the applicable purchase order, drawing and approved specification.

Report example 01

EN 10204 3.1 material report

A review-friendly certificate record connects the supplied material to the component and its production lot.

Material identity
Grade, product form, dimensions and applicable specification
Traceability reference
Manufacturer, heat / lot number and certificate reference
Test results
Chemical composition and mechanical properties, as applicable
Document control
Certificate issue details and link to the relevant job record

Record linkage

Heat / lot → material certificate → job traveller → finished part or batch

Report example 02

Salt spray corrosion test

An accelerated exposure record can document the test basis, inspection checkpoints and observed coating condition for the specified finish.

Illustrative report layout — not test data

Exposure time / checkpoints Observed condition Start End

A project report records the applicable method, chamber conditions, elapsed exposure, inspection observations, photographs where required and acceptance decision.

  • • Coating / substrate identification and specimen reference
  • • Test method, duration and inspection intervals
  • • Observations and outcome assessed against the agreed criteria

Report example 03

Coating dry film thickness (DFT)

A structured inspection sheet makes coating requirements and measured readings straightforward to verify.

Report field Recorded information
Coating systemSpecified system and layer
Acceptance basisApproved specification / drawing
InstrumentGauge ID and calibration status
ReadingsLocation, individual values and units
SummaryMinimum, maximum, average and disposition

Measurements are reported against the agreed sampling plan and acceptance limits; project-specific readings are not substituted with generic example values.

Built for GCC procurement review

Evidence that travels with the order

For regional energy, water, infrastructure and industrial projects, a complete delivery record helps reviewers confirm material identity, manufacturing status and specified inspection results without losing the link to the supplied component.

Documentation requirements are confirmed at order review. The final pack can be arranged around the customer’s inspection plan and applicable regional conformity or shipping documentation, including SABER / SASO coordination where required.

Document pack control

Certificates and inspection reports are grouped by order and linked to the relevant part, lot or shipment reference.

Material integrity

Heat-lot traceability and EN 10204 3.1 material certificates support review of specified alloy and product requirements.

Inspection visibility

Dimensional, coating and special-process evidence is presented against the agreed inspection scope and acceptance criteria.

Delivery linkage

Packing and dispatch references close the traceability loop from production release to delivery documentation.

01 · Identify

Part, batch or serial reference

The identifier that anchors the production and inspection records.

02 · Verify

Material and process evidence

Certificates, route completion and inspection documents assembled to scope.

03 · Deliver

Protected product and matching records

Released parts, packing details and shipment documents aligned for handover.
